The Chowstalker Community Cookbook is a collaborative e-cookbook with over 130 nutritious, paleo-friendly everyday recipes contributed by 91 food bloggers, coordinated and published by Ron & Patty from Chowstalker. I’m thrilled to have taken part in this project and I can tell you, Ron & Patty have done an amazing job at putting together a book that is not only easy to navigate and beautiful to look at, but also friendly for people who are new to paleo with an introduction chapter on the paleo diet and information on each recipe’s dietary compliance (Whole 30, Autoimmune, Egg-free…).
This book is filled with gorgeous, creative and healthy “real food” recipes (no desserts!), including from many reknown Paleo bloggers like Rubies & Radishes, Melissa Joulwan, The Iron You, The Domestic Man and The Healthy Foodie. When Patty wrote to ask if I would be willing to contribute to the book, I was over the moon. I truly love the Chowstalker community and recipe platform, without them I don’t think I would have as many readers as I do today, nor would I have discovered all the amazing bloggers that I currently follow and have helped me learn more about nutritious eating and leading a healthier lifestyle. And it didn’t matter that I was swamped with work and only had a couple of weeks to put together, photograph and write up two original recipes for the book, I was 100% on board!
The book is divided into chapters according to the recipe’s main ingredient, such as “Things that oink” (for Pork), “Things that fly” (for Poultry, well ok you get it), “Things that graze” or “Things that don’t have a face”, and each recipe comes with nutritional information, fun facts, and the author’s 3 most useful tips in the kitchen.
I contributed two recipes: one for Moroccan Carrot & Eggplant Salad, and one for Eggs Baked in Sticky Chorizo and Sweet Potato Hash (photos below)
Other recipes that have really caught my eye and that I’m sure I’ll be trying sooner than later include
– Cumin Chipotle Salmon with Blackberry Sauce by The Cavewoman Café
– Plantain French Toast Squares by Kristine Rudolph
– Chicken Stew with Sweet potatoes, Apricots and Kale by Panning the Globe
– Skillet Sausage with Caramelized Onions, Pepper & Tomatoes by The Preppy Paleo
– Balsamic Brussels Sprouts with Tomatoes and Goat Cheese by Ancestralize Me
You can currently get the book as part of the Primal Life Kit Bundle sale that ends TOMORROW (April 28th)! More information here.
